Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM)
The SMPS certification program seeks to enhance the professional standing of professional services marketers and business developers with their employers, their peers, and the public.
CPSM's are recognized as individuals who have met a rigorous standard of experience and
expertise in marketing professional services and who agree to adhere to the ethics and responsibilities of the profession as outlined in the CPSM Code of Ethics.

To sit for the CPSM Examination, candidates must be proficient in the knowledge and skills identified in SMPS Domains of Practice for Professional Services Marketers. Each candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or an advanced degree plus four years of experience in marketing or business development for firms providing professional services, or
- Possess an associate’s degree plus six years work experience in marketing or business development for firms providing professional services, or
- Without a degree, have eight years of experience in marketing or business development for firms providing professional services
- Pledge to abide by the CPSM Code of Ethics
