2008-2009 Nominations
Dear SMPS Seattle Chapter Members:
The 2007-2008 board is nearing its final months, and the Nominations Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2008-2009 (September 1 to August 31) Seattle Chapter Officers. Officer participation is an excellent opportunity to:
* Offer your company the highest level of SMPS exposure and education.
* Meet and learn from some of our region’s most senior marketers.
* Learn and practice leadership, management, and executive-level skills.
Any regular member in good standing, including current officers, may be nominated for any of the open positions. All terms, except for President-Elect and Treasurer, are for one year.
* Grace Vigil, our current President, will continue next year as Past President; and
* Jon Davies, our current President-Elect, will continue next year as President.

* President-Elect
* Secretary
* Treasurer
* Director of Membership
* Director of Communications
* Director of Programs
* Director of Education
* Director of Networking
* Director of Sponsorship
* Director of Outreach
* Senior Advisor
All of these positions require strong leadership and communication skills. If you would like to nominate someone for our Slate of Officers, please review the descriptions of the roles and responsibilities for each position and then complete the Nomination/Statement of Interest Form. Feel free to nominate yourself.
Once nominations close, each qualified candidate will be contacted to ascertain his or her willingness to serve. The Slate of Officers will be compiled by the Nominations Committee and presented to the membership for voting. The results on the Slate of Officers will be announced in June.
